LogoS Mobile Client controls paperlessly all operational warehouse processes via WLAN or radio frequency capable devices (including MDE devices, smartphones, tablets and forklift terminals). In addition to the basic warehouse processes, the Mobile Client supports – depending on the installed LogoS add-on – configurable tools for managing material flows and storage bins as well as the connection of the most modern picking and automation systems. All warehouse activities are mapped via dashboard functions. The user-friendly dialogs are compatible with all devices and support all display sizes thanks to responsive HTML5 standards.
LogoS / Interfaces
LogoS Interfaces is a comprehensive fulfillment interface package in xml, ASCII and csv formats. The data exchange of article master data, to-bin and from-bin transfer data as well as stock and inventory data including system feedbacks is regulated with standardized interfaces to ERP/MRP systems.
Furthermore, the most common shipping systems, TMS, transport systems operated by CEP and forwarding service providers, customs systems and accounting systems are easily connectable via LogoS Interfaces. Where desired, data exchange will be supported by tailor-made individual interfaces.
LogoS / KommSysteme – Picking systems
Modern goods management and digitization in logistics require the latest picking technologies to handle transparent and time-optimized the material flow in a warehouse. In addition to the classic MDE picking, which is managed by the LogoS Mobile Client, almost all common picking systems can be integrated via LogoS Kommsysteme.
Pick-by-Light
Pick-by-Light is a semi-automatic picking system, where shelf displays indicate the pick position and the number of goods to be picked. The removal gets confirmed with an acknowledgment button. LogoS Pick-by-Light controls all processes in these specially equipped picking zones. As a Mobile Client add-on, combinations with all other picking systems are possible.
Pick-By-Voice
Pick-by-Voice is a voice-guided picking system via headsets or smart devices. Basically, picking instructions are transmitted via headphones and gets confirmed via microphone. LogoS Pick-by-Voice controls and optimizes all voice-guided picking processes. As a Mobile Client add-on, it can be operated simultaneously with other picking technologies.
RFID
LogoS RFID is used for the automatic identification of storage units and additional labeling of articles and packages. The data from the integrated transponders get decoded, recorded and processed by using active sensors in connection with LogoS. Furthermore, product or shipping units can be labeled with new RFID tags, printed via integrated RFID-print module. Simultaneous operation with all other picking systems is possible, too. LogoS RFID complies with GS1 guidelines on EPC.
New technologies
As a result of digitization, new warehouse technologies are quickly taking root, continuously simplifying and automating the picking process. Systems such as Pick-by-Vision, Pick-by-Robot or Pick-by-Watch can be easily integrated via the LogoS Mobile Client. LogoS also integrates new picking systems frequently used in the (online) retailing industry, which combine multi-level batch picking with put walls (multi-order packing stations).
LogoS / SLS – Forklift control system
LogoS SLS – forklift control system – manages all internal warehouse transports and controls the forklift fleet online using mobile devices (MDE and forklift terminals) connected through the LogoS Mobile Client. Within the entire logistical process, LogoS SLS assigns order, distance and cost-optimized travel orders.
Parameterized, cross-process criteria determine optimized round trips, transmitted in real-time to the fleet as a storage, picking or relocation transport order. Empty runs and bottlenecks are avoided, throughput times are shortened and potentials are used. Statistics and analyzes ensure transparency in the fleet management.
LogoS / MFS – Material flow control
LogoS MFS – material flow control – is designed for the connection of automated logistics environments, such as cutting-edge conveyor technology, automatic shelves, sorters, autostore systems and stacker cranes. LogoS MFS supports the full range of LogoS WMS features and ensures transparent monitoring while controlling the warehouse automation systems.
Thanks to this sophisticated real-time monitoring, any faults can be diagnosed and rectified immediately. LogoS MFS is a powerful tool to optimize the productivity of modern warehouse structures.
LogoS / LTM – Load carrier management
Smooth material and goods flows also require optimal availability of load carriers. LogoS LTM – load carrier management – organizes loading equipment within the warehouse and in exchange with external partners. Thanks to targeted linking of load carries with inventories, for example via packaging specifications, the load carrier inventory is efficiently organized on a cross-process basis.
Even complex load carrier movements are made transparent due to the multi-level tracing of individual ID-numbers or by defining specific rules for each load carrier.
LogoS / Shipping System
The LogoS shipping system enables fast and efficient shipping processing by connecting and automating upstream and downstream logistics processes. In practice, it is used to consolidate commissions into packages, orders into shipments and the bundling of shipments into optimized routes. As an integrated shipping concept, it includes packing station processing, bill of loading (BOL) and route management for transport scheduling, as well as a dock & yard management system for managing gates, truck waiting areas and transhipment zones.
The LogoS shipping system is multi-carrier-capable and operates directly via EDI with the respective CEP and forwarding service providers. The correct shipping labels and documents are created automatically, and notification data is sent to the transport service provider. In addition, the consignee can be informed by e-mail about the shipment, including the associated shipment tracking number. Automated data exchange, real-time package status data and individually parameterized statistics ensure transparency in shipping processing.
LogoS / KPI
With LogoS KPI it’s a snap to control the day-to-day business and evaluating logistical processes. Detailed overviews of key performance indicators, processing status and warehouse utilization levels can be called up in real time using a variety of dashboard functions. The LogoS control desk presents a comprehensive online overview of storage and picking orders, their processing statuses and cumulative quantities.
The LogoS Cockpit displays the KPI with descriptive graphics and diagrams to makes the monitoring of warehouse occupancy, order processing status and staffing situation more transparent. In the area of statistical evaluation, both standard tools and functions for customized surveys and statistics are available. In addition, with authorized database access, evaluations can be generated and combined with other key figures using specific database queries
LogoS / LB&F – Performance evaluation & invoicing
LogoS LB&F – performance evaluation & invoicing – internally determines and evaluates the costs of logistic services and generates their billing automatically. LogoS LB&F differentiates between three service types: handling services, rental services and special services. Scalable parameters can be defined for all services, resulting in differentiated evaluations of all daily warehouse performances.
Not automatically registered services can be defined manually or recorded on the MDE device via time measurement.
At pre-set times, LogoS LB&F automatically generates the invoice data and outputs the appropriate documents. The billing data can be also transferred directly to financial accounting systems via standard interfaces.
LogoS / Inventory
LogoS Inventory integrates various inventory processes as standard, which can be used both paper-based (lists) and digital (via LogoS Mobile Client): the traditional annual inventory, the perpetual inventory (based on article or bin) as well as the permanent, sampling and cycle counting inventory. During operation, the LogoS inventory control desk controls and manages the inventory processes and their process statuses in real-time.
The preset methods can be also used in combination for periodic checks during the year or for a final annual output.
All inventory types are certified by an independent auditing company.
LogoS / Hazardous materials
Storing hazardous materials in multifunctional warehouse facilities or industrial facilities is a complex challenge for each logistics service provider. It’s a balancing act between efficient logistical processing and optimal capacity utilization, while adhering to all safety and environmental requirements.
The LogoS Hazardous materials tool, developed according to universal rules for handling hazardous substances (e.g. TRGS 510 rules), enables the transparent and seamless processing of all logistical processes in this segment.
Individual putaway strategies can be defined for inbound logistics to determine the placement of dangerous goods in separated warehouse locations, zones or bins. Furthermore, it is possible to set up specific regulations that define logistic processes (e.g. storage time), picking processes (e.g. packing restrictions) and transshipment. The LogoS Hazardous materials tool also provides a complete documentation and inventory of all stored dangerous goods. Data can be edited by using different parameters, such as storage class, storage type, ADR number, UN number, bin code, etc.
LogoS / Production
Today, logistics service providers offer a large range of fulfillment services and value-added services by taking over production tasks for the OEMs where a high level of vertical integration is required. Lean resource management is a crucial factor here. With LogoS Production it is possible to manage efficiently both, production planning and supply chain optimization from the procurement to the actual manufacturing operations.
Typical fulfillment scenarios are: bill of Materials (BOM) management and component inventory management, kitting, production of retail-ready POS displays as well as pre-assembly and product finishing services.
Intralogistical processes and material flow, instead, can be optimized by defining rules and internal logics that automatically control forklift fleets, tugger trains, mobile workstations or driverless transport systems.
